Turechek Symposium 2010

Anyoung! Yookosou! Welcome!

This will probably be a rather unique display as it covers two countries at two completely different times-- in other words, two completely different experiences. But i shall attempt it. Cheers.

The name Nagoya Nikki meaning "Nagoya Diary," comes from my 2009 semester abroad in Japan at one of Coe's partner school, Nagoya Gakkuin Daigaku, a university in Nagoya, Japan. At the end of following summer (that would be this last summer), almost on a whim, I spent three weeks at another of Coe's partners, Sookmyung Women's University in Seoul, Korea. This is where the "Han Style" portion comes in, "han" meaning "Korean" …well, it's explained in the note to the right.

On the table, you will find various books and artifacts from both excisions, including, for those interested, some of the texts used in the language courses. Behind the window, you will find more pictures of Japan. In this window are five highlighted web pages, but feel free to click around. These four pages are:

1. this page featuring some experiences in Korea
2. another section of this blog highlighting some experiences in Japan
3. A blog put together by one of the students that went to Nagoya at the same time I did
4-5. two blogs put together by some of my friends currently in Nagoya, Japan

Feel free to flip, browse, and ask questions.

Have Fun!
